So quantum is related tot the Beta version? Nightly is still before Quantum, right?
Version 57 beta is Firefox Quantum. Nightly is a further development.

I downloaded 57.0b8 earlier this afternoon to try it out. It appears to be faster and more stable than the 56.0.1 I had been using.

I also like the graphics and layout of the window as well.

So far, so good! I'm staying on board with Quantum

Everybody have a great day! :)

I like this Quantum but I miss the add-to-bookmarks star button not being right beside the button for the drop-down bookmarks menu. But I'll get used to it eventually.

I agree Phone Man. FF version 57 beta7 running really well on my machine :)

I just wish that all the extension devs would get up to speed.
I would not expect all of the old extensions to be updated. I use 4 and I am happy with it as is. Beta 9 should be out maybe Tuesday or later today.

I do not use Firefox much these days, instead preferring to use Edge (yes, really!) then Chrome as I find both of these faster personally.

However, when I have used Firefox, v56.0 and now v57.0 beta (64-bit versions), I've found that while the browser works perfectly fine that upwards of a couple of minutes after exiting it that the Mozilla Crash Reporter would pop up... annoyingly. I ended up having to actually disable the crash reporter via an environment variable to get around this.

That did prevent it from popping up but there is a remaining issue where Firefox is reported as still running in the background after being closed and attempting to run it again from the pinned taskbar shortcut. I suspect this may be what was causing the Mozilla Crash Reporter to pop up if Firefox was still running in the background after exiting it.

    I am using Windows 10 Pro v1709 Build 16299.19 64-bit.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so is there a way to fix it or do I have to uninstall and reinstall?
