    @Josey Wales

    "The Green is where it is in 16296". Yes the wrong place.

    Josey,
    I wonder if it depends on the brand of DVD, like the issue with the Nvidia drivers. I've seen no mention of any other video issues.
    I have an ASUS DVD and it shows up as it should.

    Mine show up fine too. I have Intel Sata drivers. HP DVDRAM. Like CountMike pointed out, could be it doesn't work... who's using DVDs this days?

    Well, I have an extra 5.25 hole in the front bay and few thousand CDs and DVDs.

    @CountMike ,

    The 'no media' is correct as you know. Showing it as removable media instead of CD-ROM 0 DVD is a puzzle. Above me if it is a registry problem.

    No and it is the same DVD drive that I have used since build 9926 and this is the ONLY time it has not been seen I have no Nvidia Problems but I need a DVD Drive. Nothing that I did can fix this, it is a MS Issue. Everything works great on The CU. It seems that quality is not directly proportional with build number increases..
