Only possible thing I can think of is it crashed during late stages of install, and did a "reset my pc" , detected an embedded bios home key and reinstalled Home.

Easy enough to get back to PRO by entering this generic key, and it will activate automatically:

    Thanks again, Cereberus. It worked!

Thanks, Magilla, but the more important question is: Why did it change me from Pro to Home?

Dang it... I'm on the slow ring on one laptop aiming to leave Insiders (given up with the APU's slow speed) and on the other one on Skip Ahead. So left high and dry at the moment with upgrades.

Was Home ever installed on the drive?

You didn't miss much with this build. I have one on Fast the other on Skip but rather see some Skippy action soon.

Yes, that is a conundrum for sure! But Cereberus posed a potential reason. Was this computer originally purchased with an operating system that was less that "PRO:" If so, the imbedded system information is frequently present in some hardware and you had said there was a difficulty installing the upgrade, so maybe the 'crash' or whatever the difficulty was caused the install to read the system imbedded information as 'home' and not 'pro.' I'm speculating, understand. Who knows for sure?

Maybe when I first bought it, but that was years ago.
