I did that - shows an Original Install Date of 9/21/2017 12:10:04 AM - this is when I updated to this build early this AM.
I was wondering IF it would show the original install date of Windows 10 on the drive - I cannot even remember what build it was.
Thanks for the info though - it would make sense not to show the install date of something that is no longer installed...
Bit late again but again only 15 min from first restart to desktop.
This, and 291, put up a light blue screen saying userid or password is incorrect just before the normal login screen. (I use a pin if that is significant).
Anyone else with this?
Actually, I am going to revert anyway at least until RTM is out as too much of a PITA upgrading tablets during current run in phase, and also a fx for touchmousepointer comes out (I have discussed with developer but they are at a loss at moment).
Just wanted to see if I could upgrade with nearly full tablet.
Edit - much slower using usb storage. I am not sure if I can do it before running out of juice. If that is case, I am back to my original position ie I would like option to upgrade without creating windows.old.

As far as I know the only way to check the actual, correct time of original install before any subsequent in-place upgrades is to to enable showing protected system files and folders in Explorer, then check the properties of pagefile.sys and / or swapfile.sys. This shows the creation date of these files; the files were created when Windows was first installed after last time C: partition was formatted, when Windows was clean installed:
That shows me my last clean install was on July 26th, whereas system information shows the last upgrade, build 16362 upgrade mid last week:
