Clean installed using UUP ISO on build 16288.....installed 16291 without problem.
Did not need to change from slow to fast ring.

Edge seems to be really fast and stable in this build. Even PDF reading with continuous scrolling enabled works really well. Hope you guys are experiencing same stability and performance as me.
Awwwwww, shucks; guess a new Build means I gotta do my duty and check out Edge once more.

I will say that when doing a speed test on 16278 and 16288, Edge comes in at #1, Firefox comes in at #2 and Chrome comes in third.

Soooo, off to change my default again . . .

Not really, since with 2 wheels only, a car can not move without destroying the whole car, while Windows can be run without any issues while Cortana is completely shut off.

I use Cortana, but I am in no way limited by it's presence nor absence. It is just adding another way of doing certain things.
I just right click my taskbar and mark Cortana hidden. That said, I do need to start checking her out, but I don't want to put on my headphones for normal every day stuff and typing to her is just plain old search to me. Guess I need to update my webcam, if I can keep it from spying on me.

    Hi Cerebus,

    now the silly question.

On a clean install IP defaults to SLOW ring, did you change to FAST.

I'm not Cereberus, but every time I do a clean install, I'm reverted to the Slow Ring and have to remember to change it back. I think that's just a Microsoft quirk; probably not something they intentionally programmed in. Generally, when I change back to the Fast Ring, any updates show up pretty quickly.

Best laugh of the day, Cereberus! I can't stop giggling! It's happened to me so many times (while I was clean installing every Build) that I finally learned I need to go into WU and change that first thing now.

That is the first thing I do after clean install. I always setup using offline account and by configuring the IP settings I get 2 things done at same time:

    1. Make sure I am on Fast Ring
    2. Turn my offline account into an online account, that causes all my settings to update to MY defaults and lets me login to any MS services without retyping any credentials.
