Even upgrading from a clean installed 16288 to16291in a VM took over 3 hours. It used to take about an hour in install.esd days. Given UUP is supposed to reduce changes needed, I guess there is truth in saying "Less is More"!

It do look kinda weird, Lin. But then, whoever heard of a ferret breaking the glass on a monitor . . . :)

I have a brand new laptop with a Core i7 and 12 GBs of memory and after waiting 2 hours for it to install I decided to go to bed and check it in the morning. I don't know how long it took but it installed and was ready when I got up. Another problem I had was that the HDD was at 100% and my laptop was unusable until the install got to around 72%.

"Updated" from Windows Skippy to Windows 16278. Here's where I am on the Slow Ring. One thing that doesn't make sense - the setup program still created windows.old even though I told it to save nothing. Must be something that is deeply ingrained that they don't want to mess with. They should - especially for the Insider Program. So I'll be running Disk Cleanup while the upgrade to build 16288.1 continues. PS. Windows.old (which of course being that it was build 16362 with a few programs added I could never get back to) was 16.4GB.

Something needs to be done about windows.old BEFORE it is created. The process is already at 85% downloading and moving fast. Note that Windows Defender and Malicious Software Removal will both be installed along with the new build which has now finished. All are awaiting install.
