Someone asked Jen Gentleman something about that and this is what she replied:

So the same errors that are corrected in RS3 are corrected in any of the following "prerelease" builds of RS4 (generally) or at least that's what I understood or I may have misunderstood Jen's response
I suppose that means if they fix a bug in RS3 it might break something in RS4, so they need to test first, then release a build.

    Just passing time....

Confusion reigns, I don't think they have clear idea how to proceed, much doesn't make sense at all.

Point is we just won't know. Jen Genteleman (can I assume he works for MS?) statement is particularly noin-informative. I asked the same question at the very start of this Skippy program and of course never got an answer. The feedback hub is still at 16291 - useless. A better question would be whether or not their will be a build on the Insider Advanced site that is more current than 16278. It takes me very little time to go through the upgrade process so I think I will make another upgrade to 16294.1 since these guys really are working hard and probably compiling away like mad over the weekend. I wonder what their in house testing environment is - we aren't going to learn that either.

What I'm going to is create a Hyper-V VM of Windows IP Build 16278 and take up to 16294.1. I will follow others methods and see how far I can get without attaching to a MSA.

Now I'd like to do this with the new spiffy Quick Create method. If there are Hyper-V experts reading this maybe they can help.
Keep in mind that I encountered no errors using Quick Create to create a Windows Insider Server Build 16278 machine. But creating a rs3 machine

I'll just create one the "old fashioned" way. But I must reboot to finish the deletion of the vmdk using unlocker. I've got problems with Quick Create (namely why do I need to see the Windows 10 dev machine after I already created one and other GUI problems - not sure where there is a place to discuss them.

I just created a Hyper-V VM using the Windows Insider Build 16278 DVD. Started at 7:05 so it was about 40 minutes but I was not aiming for speed test in this part. Now I have attached to a Windows Insider MSA to enable Fast/Active. Build 16296 was just released and I will time how long the update takes place. Interesting the Insider Server is also at build 16278 FWIW. I already have a Hyper-V VM of the Server which was created using Quick Create - it has WSL installed. As I previously posted I could not Quick Create the machine I'm calling Windows 10 rs3. However, it worked fine to use Gen 1. Just reset after it seems to stall on 24% preparing to install. The other were still at "waiting to install". Basically a kick in the pants
