Precisely I have problems with that in this build and in the previous ones, (also happens in build 16288), sometimes some modern apps like Photos or Maps don't remember the size with which I have left them before closing them and they open maximized.
Hmm. No problem like that here. In fact the system even remembers which monitor I used an app on last. That's all recorded in the Registry by the app via the system, yes?

The only program I've noticed that always opens on my main monitor is Command Prompt, which I always have to shift over with WinKey/Shift/Arrow combo cuz I use it on my secondary. Not a big thing, though.

Inside the Windows Insider Program I noticed after the changes that I want to get Windows 10 Insider Preview Skip Ahead Build 16362 for PC but it said " Skip Ahead is closed. If you select this option going forward, you will have your Windows Insider Program settings reverted . " So I switched back to " Active development of Windows " That means it's too late for me to get this update and have to wait for the next update sometime when it's available. Also I put " Fast " to get new builds. Guess that I have to wait for the next release of builds. Is that correct? Let me know about this.

John, Skip Ahead, what we sometimes refer to as "Skippy", has been closed for a while now, several weeks. It's going to go away in a few weeks anyway, and your Fast Ring Insider will live on, and become merged with all the Skippy stuff going forward. All this will occur on or about when Fall Creators Update comes out on Oct. 17th.

It can easily get a little complicated, but bottom line...you're on Fast Ring and all is fine. You'll just never see Skip Ahead.

(there are many more details, but tried to keep it simple)

The below instructions apply to Command Prompt as well as to PowerShell:

Move CP or PS window to display and position where you would like it to always open, right click the titlebar, select Properties. In Properties, select Layout tab, disable (untick) Let system position window (highlighted in screenshot). Click OK to save settings:

That's it. From now on the CP or PS window will always open on your selected display and position. Notice in screenshot above, the Left value is -1350; in my case my main display is right, the display where I want CP to open is left, therefore the Left position is calculated as minus pixels from left edge of the main display on right.

Dona didn't even bother to say there was no Skippy build today. I thought Skippy would be exciting but actually, it's quite boring.
Let's get a new build tomorrow please.

Yeah - hardly been exciting has it?

TBH, I cannot wait until Rings merge again as I have two activated vms at the moment, one on Fast, one on skippy. When Oct 17th comes out, I will "leave the Insider bus" for current Fast version, and just keep one as Insider, as it is too much hassle keeping two vms updated.

I have 3 or 4 VMs and yeah its a hassle but they are VMs and if things go south I just nuke them. It's a bit more difficult for physical machines but I have 2 different backup/imaging programs (neither Macrum). Still I'll be interested to see how they manage the tracks on Oct 17th. Actually, I'm thinking they might come out with a 17xxx build for the final.

I had much higher hopes for Skippy. Apparently Skippy means "we'll just skip builds" !!!
