Had my first GSOD last night. When the computer restarted the default color was green and couldn't be changed. First attempt to fix it was with system restore. Got a error message about nothing being restored. I only tried it thinking it would be a quick and easy fix. This is not the first time I' had problems with system restore so I'm done with system restore and will use my Macrium images for now on. I tried rolling back the video driver and that didn't work. Then I did a in place repair install and I still had the green color scheme. After doing the repair install I was able to load my older driver and everything is back to normal. If that hadn't worked my next step was using my Macrium image.

This problem pops up in new builds now and than and it's in this one too. CD/DVD drive just stops reading CD/DVD disks. Drive works perfectly, tried it in W7 on same machine, reads even from a Linux in VM and as live. Usual fix of deleting driver and let it rebuild driver doesn't work either.
Device manager, can't populate, shows 0 Bytes.
    Disk management reports no media.
yes, this has been going on for several builds on one machine but not on other two with insider builds.

Here's the build we should get this week - compiled last Friday. If so Microsoft is extremely predictable.

Thanks for that, BugMeister. Is that how your Store updates page is laid out? If so, much different than mine.

    - just hold the right edge of the page and drag it towards the left
    - it all squashes up..

Thanks. LOL. Never knew that about some of the UWP apps. I still had the mindset of the Win32 API where I thought it would just shrink the window. I see they shrink up accordingly and stack up nicely. The system remembers the size like a Win32 app too. Learn something new every day. :)

Here's the Settings app shrunk to its minimum.
