It's pretty crazy that we're using "Windows Update" to update "Windows" and it doesn't work :) But it is the insider program and we do accept the risks that things won't work. But it's still super annoying when they release a terrible build

I used that UUPtoISO utility and it worked perfectly. Have you tried that as well?
It is true we accept risks but part of Program is to use feedback to tell MS of issues. I see a lot in feedback hub about the uup method but not a peep from development team acknowledging they do have an issue. Even a falure rate of 5% (and evidence here suggests much higher) is totally unacceptable this close to a release!

I urge all users with issues to tell MS.

Yep I agree and it's definitely a worry.

What a bloody nightmare this build is turning out to be. We will remember it for decades to come!
I will forget it as soon as possible and move on. :)

I find it stupid that I can run a third party tool to update windows which uses the files that windows downloaded for me, but windows can't install them as an update itself!??! WTF... HUGE BUG MS.

At last - I updated main rig with lost of apps using iso (after auto upgrade failed twice), and it worked first time!

Yet when I upgraded a vm using iso, it kept failing! Go figure!

Nooooooo. 16288 on the Slow Ring! I have been happy with 16278. I think I am going to defer this one.
Well, 16288 seems more and more like RTM candidate.

They like to toy with people, even after CU was officially released, they kept saying, that 15063 is not RTM.
