Didn't mean e-mail as it is.. Just complete link from it (not final site...), but guess it really doesn't matter, so I deleted this.
Thanks 2 both - in this end me thinks this will be much ado about nothing.

Have spent a whole day trying to fix this latest iteration.
Have tried so many different so called fixes found on M$ and other help sites including Regedit, Services, Edit group policy etc. far too many to list
I finally admit defeat....for the first time in the three years on this project I have updated using on ISO.

Yep me too. Never had this many issues and I'm a very long term insider, PC/Windows user, software engineer, comp sci background. This build is simply too hard, it shouldn't take this much to get it installed and still fail! :)

Thanx Andre, not too bad.. seems there has been quite a bit of optimization then, to retain it's size.

BTW.. Anyone tried this from MDL?

    Attachment 153340

My d/l speed @ home is super slow so gave up - will give it a go when I'm at work tomorrow.

It bypasses the WU service and gets the files directly from the WU server (kind of like Techbench/Heidoc does with ISO's)

Yes. It worked great. Never got 16288.1 from WU.

Does anyone use iTunes and if so, do you have an issue with store not loading music since upgrade??

    Thanks. :)

Gone back to basics - installed CU in a hyper-v vm (less than one hour), re-joined Fast Ring, and in process of upgrading to 16288. Taken 7 hours and still only at 72%. What a POS!

Yep, 12.7. Works fine on 15063.608. When I upgrade 16288.1, blank screen with store. Tried Winsock reset, uninstall reinstall. Nothing worked yet. I can't even post the bug on insider.

Have given up upgrading after four attempts. Finally managed to get an iso, and that failed to upgrade. Doing a clean install now!

There is definitely something wrong with the current OS upgrade process...I see a lot of weird failure reports all over the "interweb". :)

I too had issues many builds ago...no matter what I tried, Windows did not want to upgrade. Not even a full system reset helped. Only clean install worked.
