After a day on 16288 I saw two Green Screens of Death and have chosen to revert back to 16281 which worked without incident. One of the screens happened while browsing in Edge, the other while machine sat idle.

this comes up after every fail
    installing EN-GB
then click on retry downloads and installs then reboots updates all the way till end but reverts back to 16281
You seem to have an issue with some files being in use in final step...have you tried completely disabling Defender AV service in Services? We need to make sure no AV is automatically starting. By default Defender starts after each reboot if you only disable via Defender control panel.

Thanx Andre, not too bad.. seems there has been quite a bit of optimization then, to retain it's size.

BTW.. Anyone tried this from MDL?

    Attachment 153340

My d/l speed @ home is super slow so gave up - will give it a go when I'm at work tomorrow.

It bypasses the WU service and gets the files directly from the WU server (kind of like Techbench/Heidoc does with ISO's)
Yeah, awesome piece of script. :)

Yes I got that too. They haven't updated the site last time I checked
It does not have anything to do with the Hub as far as I know but the details will not be out till the 15th.

Go check in Defender control panel...it is almost guaranteed that Real-time Protection is re-enabled.
