Your x64 is still on 16281, it has a watermark. 16288 is a "trial run" of the FCU, not complete yet, so it's gonna have and say what the final would.....for now, it may change back. Look at the release notes post #1.

My Windows 10 Professional VB VM says that build 16288.1 is not quite ready and then exits back to Settings\Update. What can I do to re-initialize WU?

Nothing right now Marty.........read back about the last 30 or so posts. Nobody is getting it except Enterprise and 32-bit Pro. a VERY known issue.

We're all having problems with this download, Marty and we're trying to troubleshoot the issues. So far as we can tell, only enterprise build and 32 bit pro will download as of now. We're sending info back to build team via Tomcat so just wait a while.
