Yeah Microsoft said they are just removing it from being enabled by default. They won't be actually completely removing SMB1, too much legacy system out there depend on it.
OK, guess I miss read it as I thought they were actually removing it. They still have Computer Browser tied to SMBv1, so I can only assume they will fix that, if they are going to have SMBv1 disabled by default :)

Finally, 16288 was able to install without the incessant rollbacks experienced earlier.

Is 16288.1 the RTM build? The Preview build/evaluation copy notice on my desktop is no longer visible. Also, there's no expiry date on the 'winver' pop-up window.

Take a look at the release notes on post #1, second paragraph. That should clear it up for you.

Spoke too soon - just had to roll back to 385.41 - colors got all messed up - couldn't grab a screenshot soon enough. Seems I was wrong 2.3 is not better than 2.2 -
@OilerNut - will be anxious to see if you remain issue free with 387.68 drivers. May depend on the version of GeFocre being run ???

It caused my desktop to GSOD and after the computer restarted the color scheme was set to green and couldn't be change.

I'm back on 385.41 and all is well. I didn't check what the color scheme was set to, just that that the Night Light settings made things worse.

Night Light plays with the gamma settings. Maybe something in NVidia Control Panel for that.
