Ok let's see, I've now disabled everything in Windows Defender and am getting the "Enable virus scanning software!" warnings from Windows because I did that. Now I'm going back up to run through all your other steps in full.
Now silly question: Why would they release builds that Windows Defender interferes with?!?!? I mean, they wrote both pieces of software.. Is this a known UUP issue?
The issue is in UUP...not sure what is causing these errors.
In my guide you MUST follow the instructions to the letter and in correct order or it wont work.

I had absolutely no problems with this build, lighting fast download and install and all was good. The only glitch that I notice is that EVERY time that I want to use my settings, the first time I click on the settings icon I get a gray screen. I have to close that and then reopen the settings menu and then it works. Kind of frustrating but not a big deal.

Ok good to know. I've ran all the steps in FULL and am now just letting WU re-download a fresh copy and install now.

Hey there guys,
Has anybody noticed (if you have it) that iTunes store doesn't work after any upgrade (not clean install) of Fall creators update?
I think it's a Winsock issue.

Your advice is defeating the object of the exercise.....are you expecting all W10 users throughout the world, both experienced and novices to perform all those actions when trying to update to rs3?

Without doing anything in updating, I now have an endless loop reinstalling unsuccessfully....reverting back to 16281.

This build seems quite smooth on my hardware. No issues so far. I am very pleased.

LOL, I am not expecting anything. I only reply and try to help those with issues. I suggest you try the guide too, or stay at the endless upgrade loop. Your choice! :)
