Did the updates, no problems, would have been good of Microsoft to fix Adobe Flash Player usage in Edge to allow Flash to run on all websites without having to click on the jigsaw piece,my Postoffice broadband account is unusable when using Edge but accessable using IE11,high time it was sorted

I have this with my HP ENNVY x360 Convertible - I didn't time the hang time, but it was in the 10 minute range. Thanks for the link - research time.

Followed instructions to disable App Readiness service - reboot time is now spot on.
Thanks danomene - you are my new hero of the day - :)
I normally do not turn off my HP Spectre and use Sleep and Hibernate plus did not need this update. But after reading the original post and installing the latest Insider Build, I shut down the machine and restarted and sure enough it hung. It appeared that the video driver was not installing correctly. I shut down/restarted four times and once got some strange looking lines on the screen. Once I even got that Win 10 did not load correctly. I was about to uninstall the video driver but it seemed to fix itself. I have been constantly getting WU for an Intel video driver but it comes back and says I have the latest which I got through HP support updates.
Not sure if this is related to your issue but sounds pretty close.

I was lucky - disabling App Readiness fixed the reboot issue. I have tried it several times, as well as several cold boots. I don't use the ENNVY much, kinda of a back up case I mess up the desktop real bad.

I'll be sure to remember the disabling of the App Readiness if the issue strikes me again. TKS!

IE got a minor upset in its settings too, though nowhere near as significant as Edge. Prior to the update my IE showed the address bar and the tabs on the same line...

...but after the update they were on separate rows, slightly reducing the space available to view pages.

Subtle change, and took a while to realise what had changed. Took even longer to find and untick the setting to put it back the way I had it before. You right-click on the site icon to the immediate left of the web address.

Could be possible it's just a one time glitch. I have not had enough time to test the system properly since the update. Will keep you posted... :)

UPDATE: Wake up from sleep seems to work now. Seems it was a temporary glitch. :)
Happy to hear it sorted itself.

    Peace

Problem continued. I tried the disable App Readiness (it was set to Manual) no go. It ended up being the Intel Video Driver. Did a driver update through WU and all is well now. The Insider build possibly corrupted it, but by no means sure about that.

rolling back on all my machines. won't wake from sleep, black screen when resuming after screen timeout, and ALL SMB network connections hang on boot. Blah....

Plus Edge, which I use only for streaming video, hangs and crashes all the time. Same on Ryzen desktop, Intel (Lenovo X1), and older AMD gamer. A nasty update so far for me at least
