Ok, then, let's start listing acronyms and their meaning. That should take up an hour or so, d'ya think?
Acronyms can be bothersome. If you don't happen to catch the first few mentions that say what they actually mean, you are forever lost.

    Add:

    Berm
    Boor
    Bred
    Doer
    Robe
    Rode
    Roomed

I do one of these puzzles in our local paper every day
I would never have got BERM.

Thanks Wynona :) I've googled it up the minute cereberus pointed it out (thank you too). This is the kind of mistake, I'm the most afraid of... can even hide the point of a message
Don't worry, Andre. I've become quite adept at translating non-native English. Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Fast Build 16281 for PC-d-r.gif

Seriously, as I've said before; y'all speak more languages than I do. I only speak English.

POSH is a great acronym. It derives from the days British passenger ships travelled to India. The rich people berthed on the left side on journey out as that side was shaded from the strong sun, and on the right on the return (Port Out, Starboard Home). Hence rich people became POSH people.

Exactly, Larc, and I was hoping those in the know would list some used in Windows 10 so I could make myself a list.

Well of course, the well known phrase is "British and Americans - two nations divided by a common language".

I have said this joke here before, but to repeat others who may not have heard it.

A British Diplomat is en route to LA via New York and the hostess announces " We will be landing in New York momentarily"

The Diplomat asks the Hostess "Will there be enough time to transfer our luggage?"

Robed. I think that's it for me.
By the way - DIAGNOSE has something like 60 words hidden in it. I think I came up with 40.

Very Interesting. I did not know that. What you can learn on this forum - other than computer stuff - is amazing.
