Man, I can't wait till they release the ISO for this next update so that I can reconfigure my whole system.

I am going to update to FU, make an image and then go for a clean install. I believe I am still working on the W7/W8/W8.1 to W10 upgrade on my desktop.

Sometimes I wonder if Microsoft put any thought into the acronym we'd be using for this one...

There is no feature on The FCU or ACU that I need or want.

you mean FCU of course. Of course, that could be even worse in some ways - LOL.

There is a legendary (alleged) story of Shell building offshore platforms in UK. In early days, they did not expect to build so many, and first platform was named AUK, next to be BUK, CUK etc. It dawned on them, they would be in trouble by the sixth platform (F), so they gracefully got out of a hole by naming platforms after seabirds (Auk, Heron, Tern etc.)

    Why so negative?

It is worth upgrading simply for use of Onedrive "Files On Demand" alone - effective return of placeholders.

For tablets, this is great, and much more secure than relying on SD cards for data.

I used to use Dropbox, but with FOD, it is so easy to uplink stuff to onedrive, create shares etc, I no longer really use any other Clouds.

    Hi,

I never understood the idea of using a cloud and having the same files stored locally anyway. I mean what's the point ??

Surely FU looks promising. Latest previews are pretty snappy but need some further polishing.

    Cheers,

It is not being negative it is factual. I do not use One Drive on The CU , why would I use it on The FCU. I do not own any Tablet. I have no use for Mixed Reality and I do not use a Smartphone. The latest Build 16299 will not even come out of sleep mode without a restart. The AU is good till 2023, the CU will be good way past that. If the final release of the FCU works properly on my PC I may use it . I will not turn off and on my PC every time I leave it. Life is full of choices and we all are free to choose what we use. Clear?

The point is that I can trust the external storage device I use, I trust the Cloud as much as I would trust using Win 95 today.
