It is. Kari simply quoted Shawn's tut, which has the .reg tweak. That's what Tony just posted....the path to Shawn's tut and .reg via Kari's post. Same thing. You can try it, others have had it work.
Thanks. Didn't realize it was the same.

    Thanks for the info.

Whatever the release date will be, I'm sure the version number for the next official release (Autumn / Fall Update) will be 1709, not 1710. In fact, I'm so sure about this I officially promise to quit drinking whisky for two days and tweet a pic of me in tutu if I am wrong.
I believe you! I believe you!

Will this drive have enough free space for the next build

Given the size of the last build's windows.old file (27.5GB) and given the fact that Microsoft is unlikely to act on my suggestion that they give us the option of NOT automatically backing up the old build I'm wondering if I have enough disk space for the next Skippy update. Yes, it's 'non existent' until you 'install' it.
On second thought, I booted over to me 353 and IE and all is as it always was including the link to open in Edge.

I suggest the "not backing up old build" option several times - obviously they didn't listen to me. I suspect there are certain things they will not change because of the various skill levels of the users involved.

Upgraded to '218 - still have to turn hibernate off and re-do the Auto Play setting - all else good.

Good Luck with your upgrade Marty.

Yeah. It's a pretty obvious thing to do and seems easy enough to code. One could have the exact same text as removing the old installation using Disk Cleanup (System Files). You'd have to click accept after the warning was displayed. I'll see what will happen after the next Skippy update which will probably be 16358 compiled today based only on what the latest canary is which was compiled Tues 10.0.16355.1001 (rs_prerelease.170829-1750)

    - hey, Wynona, make sure they don't bill you for that..

We're on top of that. What's so ironic about this is that we were paying for 18 Mbps, getting 12 Mbps, called to up the speed to 50 Mbps and it was supposed to only be $8.00 more than we were already being billed! It's the months/years of dealing with 1/3 less speed than we were paying for that's really upsetting. From there, the ball got dropped by three techs in turn, then there was a visit by an AT&T manager! :)

I'll let my son-in-law (retired AT&T management) handle all that.
