I'm definitely not happy with the UUP method of updating. It's been over three hours now and my computer is only at 72%.
This is really odd but the problem is fixed. When I did the upgrade I noticed an updated Intel driver also installed. Tonight the Night Light was not, and could not be activated. After searching around I found that previous problems with the Night Light were due to display drivers. I checked the Device Manager and found the Intel driver was in fact hosed. I uninstalled, rebooted and the Night Light and Sleep are now working.
'Windows Hello' doesn't work on this Build, (or the previous)
Works on the CU though!
Interesting to note: Windows Hello will register your facial recognition with and without glasses!
Does it not want you to ask if Microsoft knows what they are doing? Over 5 hours for an update that used to take 20 to 30 minutes is outrageous!
I would like to leave feedback about this but as usual, Feedback Hub works in every other way except for Feedback. I can browse the announcements, check tasks and so on, but feedback itself is showing this since a few days:
Have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. No help.
In your case, I have to admit you shouldn't. Wise decision.
OK. I have a program on Windows 10 that has identified the Trojan in UUPtoISO that is being flagged by the AV scans of both Chrome and FF. Do with this information as you wish Kari. Also I am less concerned about making ISO since Microsoft posted a new Canary which was compiled Monday. 10.0.16354.1000 (rs_prerelease.170828-1640)
Maybe the Trojan was causing the program to abort. I'll leave it for Kari to investigate. But obviously the program should NOT be hosted on the Ten Forums servers.
