    Hi,

Disk Cleanup did go faster. Might just be my imagination, but before Disk Cleanup, I don't remember seeing that ~$BT folder in C:. Can't remember the full name. The one right at the top. Didn't seem to be there, just the Windows.old.
It was present alright but Disk Cleanup removes it whereas before you manually had to get rid of it even though it was then pretty much empty.

As said, the whole update routine is much, much improved. The OS is far more responsive and smooth compared to current CU too.
This on a rather humble machine sporting a I7 4770 CPU compared to my other machines running CU on a I7 6700 and a I7 7700K.

CU itself wasn't all that impressive compared to AU to my mind. If they keep it up FU might well be as impressive as AU was.

    Just my gut feeling though.

    Cheers,

Ok, it's a fact Win 8 and Chrome had some problems. I really don't know. History.

Haven't seen it here yet, but over on 8F I have more than a few times. If I remember correctly, not so much bork an install, but rather block an install with an error message. After uninstalling Chrome it went fine. Tried to find some threads about it on 8F to no avail.

Apologies for being out of place. 8.0 has an issue that if Chrome (any browser) is installed and set as default for HTM / HTML, some features of the OS can be affected. Restoring IE as default usually is a fix.
    Best wishes tenners.

Thanks for that, but as you say, it's a Windows 8 issue. And except for some apparent rare occurrences, not an ongoing problem with Windows 10.

Thanks, again. (you're not out of place! :))

I don't use Edge as Chrome has always "just worked" for me.

However, Edge now does seem very quick loading up new sites. But a few msec doesn't faze me.

But what does faze me is the stupid ruling that says you can't have a bookmark icon without at least one letter as a name. Why would you design this in? I have lots of icon only ones to save space.

I see this has already been posted on the Feedback Hub so I reinforced it.

The "problem" is that in Edge when you want to save a page as a favorite you have to write something, in Chrome it doesn't work like that, I know that is a very small "inconvenience", but for someone very fussy is sometimes annoying.

Ok. I see what you are getting at. I guess I just considered it as part of the process and didn't think twice about it, I just did it. In my case some sites, all from the weather service, have the same Icon, so I do need the description for each.

Yes, in Chrome I also have several favorites with the same icon, what I do is guide me by the position in which I leave them.
