I have tried with Edge as default and not as default - same results.

I don't understand, why you don't understand, why some of us are having issues with Edge. Seems to me some of us are having issues with some things, others are having issues with other things.
Not saying that in the sense of using it, but rather why it's not working for some of you in functionality. I can understand why you shy from it if it doesn't perform properly. I wouldn't either.

BTW, I'm having issues with my build and some files. Noticing my Start screen acts kind of buggy. Flashes at times and sometimes disappears. With running DISM check the store image is ok, but the CBS log reports “Cannot repair member file”. This was repaired before, but now has returned. I’ll try refresh first, but if that doesn’t work I’ll clean install.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
    supported in offline servicing scenarios.

The build works fine for me, the problem is that when I put my PC to sleep, then wake it up it restarts. Reported many many times to the Hub no help there. They ask for my email addy but never use it..

When reporting bugs in Feedback Hub, it is always a great idea to state the problem, add a few screenshot and record some telemetry data for MS to read. Makes it much easier for MS engineers to first of all understand the problem. Secondly they can see what was done and what the error was. Now it is easy to reproduce the error and start debugging the issue.

If just stating Windows does not work in the Feedback Hub, those posts will most likely be completely ignored.

This might explain why I have the same issues build after build - cannot recall the last time I did a clean install.

Note to self - Next update - make iso and clean install in clean SSD.

I give them plenty of information almost a book full. If they are not going to respond then why do they even bother with asking for an email?? I still say it was better when there were two separate hubs, one for insiders and one for the non insiders.

Installed '278 on a clean SSD - imported favorites into Edge - same results - not good
Tried Edge on laptop - worked fine: Seems it is not Edge as much as the version of it.

Your above scannow report is a corrupt file mscormmc.dll from store.....had already reported it in Feedback.

As to my opinion of EDGE....never had any problems with it.....have never had do a clean install, always updated without any of the problems others appear to have had..

Me neither - couldn't get to my account page - couldn't sign in.
I don't use office.com, but have a different sign-in. I just used Edge to sign in to my account and all went well. No problems at all.

And yeah, Edge seems to be getting a tad bit better. For me, at least.

This has been an ongoing problem for sometime now. I recall that you've even done a clean install and "sleep" still doesn't work properly.

We had a "thousand page" thread on Windows 8.x sleep problems, and for some of us, sleep worked fine, but for others it never worked.

Here are some links I found that might help:

Windows 10 PC restarts after sleep. - Microsoft Community

Laptop Restarts After Entering Sleep Mode [Solved] - windows 10 - Laptop Tech Support

    Microsoft Community

Computer restarts when waking from sleep mode after upgrading to Windows 10 - [Solved] - Windows 10

Computer reboots on waking up from sleep on Windows 10. - Microsoft Community

Some of these may overlap or be old, but I grabbed everything I thought might help.

Bottom line, though, may be that it's a problem within your BIOS or Registry. Oh, and you might check your Power settings.
