That App is uninstalled and no service is running.

I had to restart now, this is what I mean:

As I mentioned, I do not usually uninstall even those native apps I don't use, they take so little storage space that their presens is insignificant. However, although I have not uninstalled it, live tile is off and I have never used it, yet its process is started every time I boot.

I uninstalled it so it doesn't get in the way of VLC and "steal" defaults.

I've never had defaults issues. VLC is my default, too, and it always keeps the defaults.

I'm having a miserable time with this build. The latest problem is an inability to install WSL Ubuntu or openSUSE (see attached PNG). Also it is proving difficult to setup a local user (I simply hate the fact that if I setup a MS account during install I'm stuck with a username I don't want. I may just go ahead and install build 16275 from a (gasp!) multiversion ISO on Wzor's site. Guess I can say this without giving a link.

Marty, if you want a local, and not a Microsoft account during setup, disconnect your ethernet. Even if you have Wifi, don't give the password.

Then setup has no option but to give you a local account, because it cannot check your credentials if offline.

Network your connections after Setup has finished.

Thanks. I'm not sure exactly what I will do - the WZOR ISO is too large to burn to DVD which is a shame. Has anybody tried accessing the Windows 10 Insider Advanced downloads page. It appears to be broken - at least I can't bring it up in Edge.

I had a refresh loop issue that was going on forever on the Insider Advanced DL page...but suddenly it stopped. :)

I had similar issue on same page earlier when downloading an ISO from there. The site forced on me unlimited amounts of downloads, causing me to get banned from the MS servers for 24h. Seems they have not yet fixed this bug. :)

After many hours of work 16273. However, I can't wait for the next which if it is the latest canary which if it the following would be a huge leap. I'm almost can't believe this is for real - or a "fake" build. Anybody seen a .1002 build before - let alone a 77 build number jump.

    10.0.16350.1002 (rs_prerelease.170823-0022)
