    August 2017 security update release

Today, we released security updates to provide additional protections against malicious attackers. By default, Windows 10 receives these updates automatically, and for customers running previous versions, we recommend they turn on automatic updates as a best practice.

More information about this month’s security updates can be found in the Security Update Guide.

    Windows10 Home v. 1703 bld. 15063.413

At 7:20 PM EST today, the system automatically started the Windows Update process and by 7:30 PM had finished installing 3 updates. This was outside the set active hours. However, the end time had been changed by some entity other than me from 11 PM to 5 PM. Guess I need to check the update settings more often. The cumulative update, an Adobe Flash update, and the Malicious Software Removal Tool were installed. Build 15063.540. All is well, so far.
