My Firefox Quantum browser updated to 57.0.2 this morning.......
Anyone know the userChrome.css style command to change the Bookmarks sidebar hover behavior to underline, rather than the highlighted default? Thanks in advance.
text-decoration: underline
i use it in my stylish code to make the hover color different.
added the underline command lineas follows:
Code:/* a:link { color: mediumblue !important}*/ .homepage #siteTitle {display: none;} a:visited { color: indianred !important } a:hover, a:active { color: cornflowerblue !important; text-decoration: underline }
Good stuff. I had to figure out how to work this into the sidebar commands. The text-underline command does work for text only, but is still ignored in the hover line...though the text takes on the color. I copied my code and an image of what I am seeing.
Code:/* Bookmarks */ .sidebar-placesTreechildren::-moz-tree-cell-text(leaf) { color: #F4F0F0 !important; padding-left: 3px !important; } /* Bookmarks (hover) */ .sidebar-placesTreechildren::-moz-tree-cell-text(leaf, hover) { color: cornflowerblue !important; text-decoration: underline }
I want to get rid of this blue highlight, but more importantly the grey one once it is selected. It's like this bright line on the left of my browser that is distracting while I'm browsing (see below.) If I could lose this I'd be happy.
hover works for me inside a site page with links, where exactly you need to put it for the bookmarks lists i do not know, but maybe someone else does...
i googled some suggested entries for bookmark text in userchrome.css, but they must be for pre-57 as they don't seem to work.

Yes, but thank you kronckew for your help. I like the blue color of the font under the highlight better.
you're welcome. wish they hadn't dumbed down the addons...
