The "point" releases on beta Firefox releases such as Firefox 58 (now on beta 7) comes out twice a week.

How about on the released version of Firefox...I have Firefox 57...might i expect to see point releases between now and the time 58 is released? And how often might that occur?

If Mozilla finds a problem they will update it. When 58 becomes a final release , it will replace 57 that is normally around 6 to 8 weeks between released versions.

For security updates, there are no fixed schedule, they are just released as soon as a flaw is detected, there are versions that can go clean without in-the-middle patches.

Josey has a point there, normally, major releases are between 6 or 8 weeks. I wouldn't worry too much about that and leave on automatic, the only time I had to manually upgrade Firefox was when they were doing the jump from 32 bits to 64 bits, to avoid having the browser installed in the wrong location.

Thanks guys for the feedback! Good to know...Only thing is...if i set it back to automatic update, how will i know when it does get updated?

Although i imagine, i would read about it here...LOL But i was wondering...
Though i was thinking...even if auto updated, would it not have to ask me to restart the browser in order to complete the update?
I guess i would just kind of like to know when it happens

The hamburger looking thing in the upper right hand corner will show you that an update is ready.

Hi Edwin, I adopted that one (manila folders).

Would you know if there is css code available to get rid of the Menu that opens up when you click the star to bookmark a site. With Classic theme restorer, we could get rid of the menu and have it set to open only when you want to delete a bookmark.

    Anyone familiar with extensions?

The extension "VideoDownloadHelper" isn't working since I upgraded to Quantum and says this when I try to download a video:
"This operation requires an external application to be completed."
VideoDownloadHelper has been updated to work with Quantum now.
