Yes Josey I'll be on version 58 next week.

The MS comment was tongue in cheek :)

Usually by now the 57 release is finalized and 577.0 build 4 should be the released version.

Also if you download and install this version it will no longer state that the browser is on the beta channel.

IT says candidates so it is just a candidate for the Final Release. And if you think this is not in The Beta Channel then you are contradicting what is posted in their support forum. Will find out on Tuesday...

So I see that 57 is available.
    I have a laptop at 55 and a desktop at 56.

But I'm unwilling to move up to 57 until I'm clear on one point ...

My plugins/extensions all say "compatible with multi-process" ... except for one: ScrapBook X.
Will that not work with FF 57 ?
Or, in general, does "not compatible with multi-process" mean "will not work with FF 57" ?

I have been using these "final candidates" which usually comes out about two or three day before the official release for the last year and based upon the digital signatures they always match up to the official release. Granted there always is a a possibility for a last minute change is something major shows up.

Yes I know, I have been testing Nightly Builds for many years, and I have been using Firefox since it first came out as Phoenix many many years ago. The source that I posted stated that unless you download a build that is posted above that states FINAL, you will stay in the Beta channel. Those are the facts that were posted in Firefox's support forum. I downloaded the Final today. It may or may not be what was RC4 but RC4 would still be in the Beta Channel. But users have choices. I choose to follow the link that was posted by their support forum and not opinion. You my friend can do what you choose to do.:)

    Thanks @maliko
