Does anyone know if it is possible for someone to re-code classic theme restorer to work with FF 57? I sure hope so as that is the only reason i am using waterfox.

I tried 57 and I don't see any speed increase. Seems a little slower at startup if anything. I'm going to stick with FF 56 for now.

    The author says:
This add-on will stop working when Firefox 57 arrives in November 2017 and Mozilla drops support for XUL / XPCOM / legacy add-ons. It will work in Firefox 52 ESR until ESR moves to Firefox 59 in 2018 (~Q2).

Waterfox browser is based on Firefox and will keep legacy add-on support, so CTR will work even after Firefox 57 release.

There is no "please port it" or "please add support for it" this time. The entire add-on eco system changes and the technology behind this kind of add-ons gets dropped.
I've been looking around for a way to put tabs above the page displayed again.. I've not found an add-on, so am wondering if this works in v57:

Otherwise I think I'll end up trying Waterfox..

Already tried it, not present in about:config so added it, doesn't work I'm afraid, at present trying to get used to tabs in the "wrong" place! If I can't its drop back to Waterfox.

Hmm, it looks like Roboform may work in Waterfox- if the latest version is used... (I tried installing an older version of the xpi - the add-on- and was prompted in Waterfox to update to v8). Waterfox isn't listed by Roboform.

Just use classic theme restorer extension and select tabs on bottom under tabs.
