I don't want to mess with beta's again. I only did because FF 56 gave me issues with its annoying black/white screen crash while FF 57 was fine and is even faster.
I have never been a Firefox user and I ain't starting now, but I must admit that Firefox 57 is really nice and fast, but I will stick with Chrome & Pale Moon
Ok, I have a general question. I don't know if I should post it here, but hey, in the end is related to Firefox.
I would need to use Java on Firefox, but FF ended it a few releases ago. Is there any possibility to make it work? Is still there as a hidden feature or is just erased?
I mean, I hate to have to open IExplorer to do that.
The waiting is over. NoScript 10.1.1 has been released. :)

I had not updated to Firefox 57 in my real system, waiting for NoScript 10. As Firefox updated, NoScript updated also, on its own, without me doing anything. eliminating the old version automatically and importing my Black list and White list automatically. I thought that was nice. The process worked out flawlessly.
In this new version, the Black list is displayed in Settings, something that was not possible with older versions. To see your Black list you had to find it in the configuration file. Seems like keeping track of it will be easier now. Both list are now placed together in the same page, not bad. As far as my end, all looks pretty good.

To make older versions of Firefox more responsive, you would disable a number of animations in about:config such as browser.tabs.animate, browser.fullscreen.animate, browser.stopReloadAnimation.enabled, etc.;
now, most animations can be disabled with one preference toolkit.cosmeticAnimations.enabled set to false
