    For this to work, you have to save the text file as a css file (not as a text file). To do that, show file type and delete .txt at the end of the file. And when you save the text file, choose save All files.

    Inside the file, copy and paste:

    @NamEspace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");

    /* Global UI font */
    * {font-size: 12pt !important;
    font-weight: bold !important;}

    You need the line on top. And name the text file, userChrome.css

    If after you do everything, the text file is still a text file, it wont work. If you do it right, that above works for what you want, I tested it.

    It still shows as a .txt document. You said to show file type then delete .txt at the end of it but for me to see file type it won't allow me to delete or change anything. I pasted that string into the file and saved it under All Files but nothing has changed.

    Yes, my mistake: "Extensions" rather than "Plugins"...

    Change for change's sake, however, is just plain silly. Ever since Mozilla's aim switched to "beating Chrome" by "Imitating Chrome" they have lost many, many long term users.

    Users are the life-blood of any project and to alienate so many is nothing more then madness.

    Mike.
    I am not going to play fanboy, which I find silly. However, while I agree that change just for the sake of change is also silly, the changes to Firefox were not done for that reason. Here is one quote from an article that went on into technical details on things that I have no comprehension about; to me, the language of the quote makes it clear why Firefox needed to change:

    "The time has finally come for Firefox to upgrade the aging Gecko rendering engine that served it for 20 or some years.The upgrade will enable Firefox to take full advantage of modern CPU's and GPU's, and result in lighting fast performance improvements on both desktop and mobile devices.

    "Pages will load faster, and scrolling will be silky smooth. Animations and interactive apps will respond instantly, and be able to handle more intensive content while holding consistent frame rates. And the content most important to you will automatically get the highest priority, focusing processing power where you need it the most."

    I have also seen articles that indicate that Mozilla started the project by trying to update the Gecko engine, which turned out to be impossible, so it was replaced by the new engine. I see no madness there, only a change that was required by outside forces, as it were, the changes in computers and mobile devices.

    The reason why I never liked Chrome and always liked Firefox is because Chrome renders fonts fuzzy on some websites. Gives me a headache trying to read. Firefox always had sharp text.

    I tried to get Chrome to display sharp fonts but all the useless solutions were for some tweak that does not work anymore or some horrible add-on which just makes the fuzzy text bold but still fuzzy. I mainly keep Chrome installed as a backup browser since Edge is just horrible to being with.

    I even use Firefox 57 on my Android phone since it supports Violentmonkey script and uBlock add-ons.

    Yup!
    Chrome's fonts are terrible!

    And, Chrome keeps switching me to the New YouTube, after reverting to the classic, with every new session!!!

    At least Firefox remembers/respects my preferences!
