v56 is already pretty good in performance compared to older versions. But v57 looks interesting.

Will Firefox automatically change reddice (and me) from 'Beta to "regular" Firefox 57 in 4 days, or do we have to do it manually? Just curious.

You could always do a manual update Jim. Directory Listing: /pub/firefox/candidates/57.0-candidates/build4/
