I don't suppose anyone knows of a WebExtension to bring back a status bar and progress bar do they? :)
I've not seen any Jody, and according to the author of Download Status Bar he has little interest in recoding it as a web extension.

Beta 12 is out. Not to be a jerk but come on how many more beta versions is there going to be. The program is pretty stable as it is. It seems like we will be up to beta 50 before this thing comes out.

They have to wait for Devs to get more extensions compatible. It will be final sometime in November. I use The Nightly 58 builds, they are more stable than 57

That's a nice thought Josey but if correct it will be the first time that Mozilla have ever waited for the extension devs to modify their code. Normally Mozilla just go straight ahead and break the extensions :)

I know but this is not the normal Fx Upgrade, it is a complete new Engine and any extensions that are NOT updated on The release of Fx57 simply will not work. Extensions were the major cause of all of the Fx Crashes in the past. One extension may not be compatible with another one and this is what Mozilla is trying to fix. Their end game is to have a browser that will not crash.

Thanks. That is why there is so many beta versions. The beta is stable as I replace it with Firefox 56 and I am using 57 as my daily driver but I was wondering why it was not at least in RC by now.

Don't forget that Firefox has to be made stable for Linux as well as Windows reddice and also for a lot of scenarios we will never see. Probably be around 5 or 7 days before we see a RC. I always use FF beta releases as my regular browser, for years now I've never used the release version. I think it probably comes down ro the fact that for a long time Firefox 64-bit version eas only ever released as a beta.
