I only have 4 extensions and that is all I need. In the past I had as many as 20. Tab Mix Plus is great but it uses a great deal of memory, When 57 goes Final in November all old extensions will be gone unless they are re written.

Why is everyone hating on FF?
Because they never tried it . I use Firefox 90% of the time. I never use that horrible Edge and Chrome is only for a back up or used as a web player.

I think a main reason many have never tried FF is because effort is required to get and install it. Everybody with Windows 10 already has Edge and IE. And keeping Chrome from installing is an uphill battle.

And therein lies the problem. I have been a Firefox enthusiast for years and years but have grown to rely on certain extensions like Session Manager and a few others. If they're not updated or something just like them isn't available with the 'new' Firefox then I'm off to Waterfox permanently. It's really pretty simple. :)

Sorry that you are so impatient that you have to go to Waterfox. When Fx57 goes final the extensions that are worthwhile will be updated . There are plenty of them already. Just have to search for "Firefox 57 Compatible Extensions"-Pretty Simple. :)

I'm alert to Chrome's devious installation practices, but have still deleted unwanted installs from my main PC more times than I have fingers and toes. On rechecking sources, I found there were only a few occasions when I overlooked a Chrome install choice. Most installs were without warning of any kind. So you are indeed extremely fortunate if you've been able to avert them 100% of the time.

I've searched and they aren't there yet and there are no announcements and no plans that I can find. And who decides what's worthwhile? You can for you but I do for me. It's that simple.

I have to clean Chrome out from second computer, my brother keeps on installing it by accident. Nobody touches my main machine and even I managed to get it installed couple of times. He keeps doing it with Adobe flash all the time too. Very sneaky tactics.
