Well that is good for those that want to use NOSCRIPT. I doubt that Mozilla will Maritain two add-on sites. Since The Dev is removing compatibility from older versions , those that do not migrate to Fx57 will probably have to get updates from the Dev.

Hi rezpower, I am attaching my Untrusted/Blacklist, hopefully you ll find it usefull. You can copy it and replace with it your now Untrusted empty list. You can do that in the settings file you exported. After replacing the Untrusted list in the Settings file, import it back. You ll find something like this ("untrusted":"",) close to the end of your Settings file, that's what you ll replace with my list.

Most of what I blacklist are trackers and ad servers that are not required for anything. If I encounter a domain that deserves to be blacklisted, but I also found sites that require it for something useful, I usually leave those out of the blacklist but I don't whitelist them either. They are sort of like in a Limbo list (In my mind), they are so few and easy to remember I just keep them in mind.

After replacing the Untrusted list, when you are browsing and you click your NS menu, look over Untrusted. If something in the sites you visit are in the blacklist, the Untrusted heading will show the number and the names of the domains. Most of what I include in my blacklist are all over the place, you ll find them repetitiously..After a while is easy to remember them. Getting familiar with their names is part of using NoScript. In my opinion, building the blacklist is an important part of using NoScript. Enjoy it :).

Yes, NoScript extension is on it's way of becoming WebExtensions. Right now the AMO version is a hybrid WebExtensions: it has a legacy wrapper to fetch user settings from legacy storage so the WebExtensions part can save it where the WebExensions versions can retrieve those settings. At a later date the pure WebExtensions version will be deployed.

You are welcome, rezpower. I agree, that txt file is a jewel. I could delete my whitelist and have it redone from scratch in about 45 minutes. But doing the same with the Blacklist, would take years. :)

I am giving up on Firefox at least temporarily - using Google Chrome with FF, Opera and Edge as backups in that order. Too many new things in FF right now - I want a browser to serve me not one that makes me to figure out how to use it - lol.

I use Firefox at home probably 80-90% of the time. But it seems to be fussy on things like an online streaming player like Sirius radio's website, NBC Sports, etc. I also had trouble over the weekend using it to try and authenticate streaming through an Xbox One app. It just kept saying invalid code over and over again, switched to Chrome and it went through the first time. But my home PC is Windows 10.

Here at work we're limited to Windows 7 and we have to use Chrome as our browser. It freezes up just as bad as anything else I guess. If I don't see "aw snap" at least 5 times a day it's not a regular work day.

By the time the Firefox people get done with all these 'improvements' they probably won't have many users left at all.

I agree. FF is now good for the people who can do script, coding, while papers and black papers. I suspect those that get it probably see good thing emerging down the road. I hope so, I did enjoy Nightly and when the dust clears will try it again.

I'll probably get mad at it in a couple of days but I downloaded Nightly, AGAIN!
