I know you dont like NoScript, I read your post the other day. But really, the Red Light is exactly what NoScript places in front of malware and annoyances. It puts an Stop to it. It tells them, you are not coming in. And all is done silently, no prompts, light on the system. It saves the system from wasting resources.

I know that but Fx 57 has similiar built in security.. At one time it was necessary, I used it but AV programs and Firefox have come a long way. If you go to a new website you have to OK it way too much user intervention.

No-Script also breaks rich interactive features such as this website has.

I wouldn't trade using NoScript for whatever the best AV in the world is today. If you tell me, "I give you a lifetime license to whatever AV you want but take down NoScript", I wouldn't take it.

Last time I got infected (late 2008), I was still using an AV. Ever since I started using NoScript (and Sandboxie), malware doesn't come around anymore, its like it doesnt exist for me. People in general should find their own personal way for handling security. I found my own which doesn't involve using antiviruses or scanners or anything like that. NoScript is not for everyone but it is something special for security conscious users of Firefox. As of this moment, it is the number 5 most popular addon for Firefox, the high number of users tells the story. :)

That is your option but as of now Noscript is not Firefox 57 Compatible. The number of users tells nothing-there are still quite a few on Windows XP.

Hi Edwin, I havent found that to be the case. Perhaps you can give an example. Here at the forum, I whitelisted tenforum.com and find the site functioning perfectly well without needing to allow any of the other scripts that run in this site. If all sites were like this one, I wouldn't use NS.
