I'm downloading Windows Insider Preview 16257.1 (rs3_release) for Windows 10 Enterprise (upgrading from 16232 "official" Microsoft ISO. The trick to change to Fast mode Skip Ahead did not work. However, I thought the Skip ahead "feature" was not available until Build 16257 so how did it show up on 16232?. Anyway I see if I can get to the Skip ahead after 16257 is installed. Has anybody got it working on Enterprise? I am using a VirtualBox VM

Of course it does not work in 16232, value Skip for string ContentType is only accepted in builds which support the two different Fast Ring branches. As build 16232 has no idea about how to handle it, it will be ignored.

I switched 16257 Enterprise to Skip ahead a few hours ago:

With 3 OS's all capable of multiple virtualizations products (well not Windows 10 but I using a newer Hyper-V than the server) I have plenty of things I can do. Still and all I would have liked a new Build this week. I wonder how much programming and testing effort will now go towards bug bashing vs new features? Next candidate should be 16268 or 69.

I am not sure what you mean by "builds which support the two different Fast Ring branches."

I just moved my Windows 10 Pro 15063.540 to Skip using the registry trick.



And I just moved a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro 16232.1000 to Skip Ahead.



Just to satisfy my own curiosity I switched back to Active in Windows Insiders Preview Settings and it does so without having to use the registry trick in reverse and without having to restart.
