In my experience, since they started to work on RS3, it has been the buggiest insider journey ever. They must have changed a lot of stuff internally. I never had any issues with previous iterations. Hope they find all bugs and fixes before the dead line.
What I know for sure, they have moved a lot of win32 binaries to .NET-framework (so much I can decompile with dotPeek compared to previous Windows versions)...maybe this transition is the cause of all the troubles. :)
slicendice - you are probably right - lots of things going on at this time.
f14tomcat - maybe we should call this the Edsel/Pinto/Corvair phase of the program.
I just wanted to make clear to everybody that I don't think this is a bad thing.
I know MS is trying to combine all .NET framework versions on all platforms into one big standard .NET framework. At the same time they migrate more and more Windows stuff to depend on the framework. So no wonder if we get bugs, both in the framework itself and the apps that depend on it.
Not an easy task to get everything working 100% in such short period of time, while everything is fluctuating.
Still the same canary however 16265.1000. I will be most interested in the build that finally gets released.
I thought we were supposed to get a build today -- Wednesday. I have had this build so long it is beginning to turn to mold and mildew on my computer!
