I'm in agreement with you Wynona. Use the best product for the job that you can afford.
Lol, that's why I use freeware predominantly, I can afford it.

Actually the above captions should read, in this order, Experts, n00bs... There, fixed it for you. (BTW, I don't do repeat shortcuts, either.) I have maybe 500 3rd-party programs and games, installed. For me, an OSes highest and best value is in how well it supports the third-party software and hardware I wish to buy.

The reason I don't like shortcuts on my desktop, is, they are then hidden anyhow when I have a window open, so I hide them and like I said earlier, just use the desktop toolbar in the taskbar(after placing them in folders), or I use the ones on Start, what ever I'm in the mood for.

I use to use the desktop, but since it became the "Superbar"(anyone remember this term for it?), I have use the desktop toolbar, where others always recreate there own quick launch toolbar.
But with the desktop toolbar, you can slide out the recycle bin and have a functioning on with out jumping through hoops and creating one from scratch, as it is already on the desktop.

    Awwww Crap!
I had early shift today, and tomorrow is a holiday in my part of Bavaria, so I'll be off.
A new build would have been just the right thing

And besides, I don't want to be running around closing windows to search through a few gazillion icons. I like the Quick Launch Bar for all my most used files and apps.

I don't like anything in my "Superbar" either, except for my Quick Launch Toolbar.

I keep my recycle bin at the bottom right instead of where Microsoft placed it. That way I don't usually see it unless I really want it. And, I don't like any icons on my taskbar either. :)
