    Managed to install and run Office 2016 Pro (32 bit) "until" I removed the Manufacture Mode reg key. Now its blocked. I had a feeling that would happen, but wanted to find out anyway. No going back now, can't launch regedit etc.

    Did the upgrade to Pro but things are not right? launching Word 2016 or Excel 2016 gets me a "The thing you are looking for isn't here" Store message? Launching Access 2016 gets me a "Your organization used Device guard to block this" "Contact your support person for more info". Same message if I try to launch PowerShell. So much for upgrading to Pro unlocking things? Looks like I'll have to clean install to get a fully working system?

    @alphanumeric

    I warned all of you to read the full document on the download page. Based on the instructions and recommendations in the article, I could already tell that one would be in big trouble if doing the install and possibly wanting to revert/upgrade to Pro.

    I guess you found it out the hard way. A VM might have been a good option to test the OS itself, just like the article stated. :)

    My install was from my MSDN ISO, didn't touch the other link, other download. I did a clean install in audit mode. Tried a few things, exited audit mode and did the OOBE. Then removed the Manufacture Mode reg key, that's when things went south.

    It's all part of testing this stuff real world. It's my spare desktop PC so no big deal. Other than an hour or so doing a clean install. I'll likely leave it as is for now and do some more poking around. See if I can uninstall some of what doesn't work now etc.

    It is great that you find all these glitches or problems I was suspecting would occur. Keep hacking! :)

    The upgrade to Pro might have actually worked, had I not gone into Manufacturing Mode. Hard to say? Now that the cat is out of the bag, anybody stuck with this version, not by choice , is likely going to try and hack that mode in. Does that other link give you an ISO, or just straight up install 10S? I'm guessing it doesn't give you an ISO, for obvious reasons. I can't see anybody with a choice, choosing to run this version? Not many anyway. And if your going to run it in manufacturing Mode, you may as well just run Pro anyway? I think everything works, you just have to go hunt for what's missing from the start menu etc.

    Can't run or uninstall Office 2016 Pro, as things are now, after upgrading to Pro. Going to try a Reset this PC and see how that goes.
