- no doubt there will be a good many questions from users going forward to the fall creator's upgrade..
- it's a massive leap from the currently available creator's build - no doubt a good few problems to solve as well..
- it'll be all hands to the pumps - they'll need support..
- my laptop currently remains at the publicly available Creator's Update
- it'll be interesting to carry that build forward, when it comes down..
I just use the Edge/Bing combo - it meshes well with other MS stuff..
takes a while, but it tailor's itself to your requirements over time..
Glad you asked. Basically none of the 4 VMs I showed ultimately updated. They would have but I got bored and rebooted for some reason - the VMs never completely recovered. I don't think updating 4 VMs is impossible since Microsoft seems to have addressed the bandwidth problems. It is easier to do a clean install which is what I am in fact in the process I'm doing with 16151. I did successfully update a VMware VM of Windows 10 on my server but there I normally disconnect for long enough periods of time that the server shuts down. I should not do that but since I don't mind I don't want to take the time to troubleshoot it (maybe I'll use my copy of Event Log Explorer sometimes).
On the July 21st I found out that my bank card must have been scanned. They made 3 transactions at 3 different Wawa convenient stores. I had to have my card deactivated and the bank issue me a new card with a new account number. They got me for $108.40. I reported it to my bank and Wawa. My bank won't do anything until I find out what Wawa is going to do. I never had to go through hoops and jumps with my credit cards. With all the Identity theft going on today there's no way I would put any financial info on my phone.
My bank is a small local bank with 4 or 5 branch locations. They only have a website for online transactions.So far as banking with phones > Use the app, not the browser. Apps are much more secure. If it gets hacked the bank is liable.
Admittedly one thing that Windows phones lack is that few institutions don't offer apps for them. They simply don't spend the money to have them developed. I just wrote my $multi-million electric utility company that just released apps about why they have not one for Windows phone. I get the standard answer "We are not offering that at this time, but I will pass it on to the development department". Yeah, that'll happen.
