A tip especially for those who leave their computers on overnight, going to bed or otherwise away from a computer on days when Dona has announced a new build:
Temporarily change Active hours. Using myself and yesterday evening as an example, Dona tweeted about release of build 16251 at 19:03 my time (it's 7:03 PM for time disabled people). I always have active hours set to full 18 hours from 08:00 to 02:00 (8 AM to 2 AM), but as soon as I had seen Dona's tweet and this thread, I changed active hours to guarantee my machine does not restart for upgrade even if I go to bed before it's downloaded.
Yesterday I changed active hours immediately to 19:00 to 13:00 (7 PM to 1 PM):
Remembering to do this every time new build is announced (takes 10 seconds) I have no stress, I can be sure my machine does not restart to start upgrade before I am ready for that, after I have made the ISO. When done I can change the active hours back to normal.
This is important especially to us here on the right side of the big pond as we always get the builds during evening or night hours, outside set active hours for quite a many users.

Decided to try rs_prerelease version too. Made Macrium image of existing setup, change to skip ahead setting and Windows started to download rs_prerelease Insider...
Will make Macrium image of both, so I could switch between them...
At this point I forgot the last time I made an ISO before rebooting, I agree that it is better to do it before but in my particular case I have never had problems with the files in Windows.old, I always do them after rebooting.
