Yup, lots of various related reports now in the feedback app I see
KB3074678 released a few minutes ago does not appear to address the explorer crashes either.

To learn more about the vulnerability, see Microsoft Security Bulletin MS15-078.

    • The vulnerability impacts Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer.
To learn more about the vulnerability, see Microsoft security advisory 2755801 and Adobe Security bulletin APSB15-18.

Trying to install KB3074680 and KB3074681 on my desktop with 10240 and it gets to the point where a restart is required. I select restart and it gets into a loop of restarting then eventually fails and rolls back the install. Any ideas on what may be causing it? I've installed all the updates on my Surface Pro 3 and Lenovo laptop without a hitch.

I attempted to remove an app in control panel, and got the same result as previously reported.
I went to settings, system, apps and features and uninstalled the same app without a hitch - goodbye control panel.

I'm having this same exact issue. I also see KB3074678 has shown up today but none of them are able to install successfully now.

I had to do a system restore (old way) and it ended up working after that.

    Can anyone else replicate?

The symptom is that attempting to uninstall an item in my installed programs list causes the screen to flash followed by closure of the "Programs and Features" panel and no action to remove the selected software.

Third party uninstallers still work fine. Rolling back the KB also allows the Programs and Features panel to uninstall software normally.

If this is specific to my build I won't bother Microsoft with it. If others are seeing it too, perhaps worth raising a bug report.

    Thanks!
I just got whammed with this one too! Guess I'll have to go looking for third party uninstallers.

I finally figured out how to uninstall, Jim!

All Settings>System>Apps and Features>Wait for the list to be populated>Click on what you want to uninstall>uninstall pops up>click on the Uninstall that popped up and it'll be done!

This is what Windows 10 wanted. To drop Control Panel completely.
