MVPs had to set up their own site to do that. They did a great job.

Being a wrong-side-ponder (:)), you may not know that means "Show me". Missouri state motto is 'The Show Me" state.
By definition, you must be the wrong-side-ponder surely - us Brits were on this side of the Pond for hundreds of years before you guys, excluding Native Americans of course .

We are not MVP's the insider hub should have been left intact and not changed. Then we would know who we are dealing with. That is all I meant and wanted. It is not like MS does not have the resources to do it..:)

Yep, and it was y'all who came to the right side of the pond. :) Or is that the left side of the pond? I guess it's all in how you look at it.

And now I just met myself coming back. Sigh . . .

    It's not only users.
The jokers at MS can't explain (or don't know) how Windows works either.
Yep, I have tried a couple of times to get Windows support from multiple official troubleshooting portals. The help I got was not even close to what I wanted fixed. The answers I got was not even related to the issue. I even explained what I had already done, and they just kept repeating the same answers. So we got nowhere.

Eventually I figured out the fix for my problem myself.

I expected to get help from a guru or something in that direction, but instead I got someone on the other end that that did not understand the problem domain and was even less skillful Windows user than myself. Not only that but the problem I had was caused at Microsoft end, I figured it out, but no one knew who to contact and fix the problem. So it seems these "gurus" don't even know how Microsoft as a company works or who to contact when access to some service modification is required.

I got a good support from regional and local MS Office. Regional is in Bulgaria but have Serbian speaking persons there.

Lucky you! I think I was redirected somewhere where they did not even understand English properly. I got furious!

I guess I am used to get good support and problem diagnostics from my internet service provider. Usually it takes 5-10 minutes and whatever the problem is/was gets diagnosed and solved. At MS it took me over a week to get nowhere.:)

I have had much better experiences with Answer Desk agents. I have made about two dozen contacts on my Assure plan. The most frequent locale of the agents was the Philippines. They were the best of the lot. Very good listeners and seemed well trained. They were excellent at remoting in and just fixing issues without cycling through the same questions like some do and without suggesting shotgun solutions like reinstalling Windows (that's when you know an agent wasn't listening). Only one issue never got addressed. It turns out that the consumer side is instructed not support ReFS and Storage Spaces but to refer to the commericial side. The referring agent did what she could, made the referral, but the commercial side never contacted me. Other than that I have been very satisfied with service.
