I suspect the last EDIT is the key, and certainly monitor specs, types, etc play into picture, too. Glad you have a work-around even though you have to reset it each time you restart. Being unable to view print isn't good.
I don't live in the Insider OS, so no huge inconvenience. MS must have known there would be some combos of stuff that might cough and sputter and wheeze, or they wouldn't have put that in known issues. Probably had no good fix, so gave a "might work" workaround as a CYA. It'll give them something for Bug Bash, then they'll be heroes for fixing!

Total time to Hi! was about 1+45 which included an ISO. Everything appears working ok so far. WIndows calender/email app appears ok now but won't bet the farm on it yet. (Wishing for a bring back of Live Mail!)

Smooth update. Took 40 minutes after the first reboot. Running Disk Cleanup (forgot there was the new Storage Spaces features - darn). The install successfully scanned an external USB drive and continued - this is good. I'll now upgrade my Hyper-V Windows 10 (or perhaps just install 16241 from the ISO or DVD. System feels quicker.

Very slow update here, but all seems OK now it has finished. I didn't time it, but around 2 hours total. Lot of time at Installing-75% and above. Actual "Working on Updates" was quick. Interestingly, I have a 3rd monitor driven by the on-board graphics (primary and secondary driven by add-in card.) At 33% "Working on Updates" the display switched to the 3rd monitor for less than a minute, then back to the primary. Earlier builds (before 16237) switched to the 3rd monitor at 32% and stayed there till the reboot at 75%

Well..... found an interesting bug, about the size of Mothra! Concerns this from Known Issues up in post #1:

If you have display scaling higher than 100%, you may encounter a bug where the hit targeting is offset when interacting with various parts of the shell. This is particularly noticeable in Action Center, where it might appear that nothing in Action Center can be cleared, but can also happen with the taskbar Jump lists and My People. If this happens, go to Settings > System > Display and change the size of text, apps, and other items to something else. Once you’ve done that, put it back to how you like it and issue should be resolved.

I have my display set to 150%, so I can see it. (100% is micro-text). Sure enough, Action Center is all whacked out. Hover and move the mouse pointer around, and the focused tile, like Settings, Night Light, is about 2 inches below the pointer! If you're lucky, after a couple of clicks it will take. So I did what the "fix" said. Set it to 100%, signed off/on, worked perfectly. Set it back to 150%...Broke! Repeated the whole thing with 125%, broke with 125%. Back to 100%, works fine. Back to 150%...broke. It's like a gun-sight set to 1000 yds when the target is 10 ft away!

I have pinned Settings to the taskbar for now. Not going to bother with this build on the other Insider OS, or my VMs.

    Cheerio!

EDIT: Reported in Feedback with video capture of the weird behavior. Error - Windows Insider Program
Same here. My monitor's native scaling is 150%; problem not present at 100%: Mouse pointer 2" high on Notification pane and a couple of lines high in task windows of my three browsers in the Task Bar. Minor pain and can work through it but will still report it.

The new look of the Start menu and the Action center without that "layer of noise" is cool and new, I love it.

Look at start menu/personalization/start and see if "show app list in Start menu" is ON
    Thanks. It's actually "On"
