Perhaps you can explain why after doing a "Clean Installation" it is possible to open OneDrive to view a particular photo or file and have the option to download to This PC by right clicking on it.....all this without syncing.
You can't in file explorer - the options simply don't exist. Perhaps you are thinking of the web interface. @slicendice is talking about File Explorer.

This is right click on a OneDrive folder in 16241

This is right click in 15063 - note the Status column and the options to Always keep on this device and Free up space circled above are not there.

    Oh shoot! I can't upgrade install 16241.1001 from 15063.483.

From WU I get a message saying there was a problem getting time information. Both Windows and BIOS times are correct. Using ISO, setup just fails with no error codes, nothing.

On VM I could upgrade with no glitches from early 16000-series to this build.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the exact message I get: We couldn't install updates because there's a problem with the date and time information on your device

Never seen that message. This workaround works with most error codes preventing upgrade, you might try if it works for you: When Insider build upgrade fails - A Workaround - Windows 10 Forums

Please be sure you have a recent system image before proceeding, though, in case it does not work.

Does the Date and Time and Region coincide?

Everything Date Time related is exactly as it has been for me for the last 20 years.

I will now remove my original system drive and clean install latest IP on another...just to try if it works. If succesful, I backup all important stuff on original system drive and clean install from scratch.

I am almost certain that the sysprep method Kari suggested won't help in my case. I am quite confident that the whole sysprep will fail on me even without generalize option. Even if it would work, I'm better off clean installing, removing all clutter that could remain even after sysprep.

Besides, I don't have enough space to make a 500GB system image.

Googling took me here. Might be worth a look. Could be a "block". Slightly out of my league, but I've heard this before. It's an MS script to fix.

I tried that before I read this...did not work as WU is working great.

I have now figured out that it is the setup that is failing. I will continue by checking all possible FS and other corruptions or errors.

If that does not work, I backup what I need and clean install Windows. It is faster and makes sure that my system integrity is top notch.
