What citizens of the USA forget is that "fall" is something you do when you trip up, and "autumn" is a scientific term for a certain time of year. In most of the world autumn is the preferred term.

Of course, the simplest is September Creators Update, assuming MS could actually meet the deadline.

Another idea (shoot me down for being radical on this), we could simply call it Creators Updates 2 al la Hollwood style for film sequals.

Well, I've been searching the Interwebs and so far, have found information about both the Fall Creators Update and the Autumn Creators Update.

    Here are some URLs:

    https://news.microsoft.com/2017/05/1...YJjVLB3Pwgf.97

    https://betanews.com/2017/07/13/wind...e-build-16241/

    https://winbuzzer.com/2017/07/03/win...launch-xcxwbn/

    https://www.neowin.net/news/windows-...some-countries

More than anything else, no matter what we think, Microsoft has made a decision, and nothing we say or do will change that. So, every one who has suggested a new name for the release (myself included) is spinning their wheels.

Just thought I'd be smarter than the average bear (ha! I wish!), look it up and let y'all know . . .

Oh, and I'd also like to put in my request for a new Build . . . so far, this one hasn't given me any problems and it seems we don't have all that much to work with as far as bugs are concerned . . .

This flood of posts on what to call the Creator release suggests a near perfect O/S.....or the moaning minnies have deserted us.
Actually, I think this is symptomatic of very frequent releases. Each varies only a little from previous one, so it does not take long before we get bored of it.

We need weekly updates, then twice weekly, then daily - come on MS - you need to feed our addiction!

That would work. It's a Sunday. They could just dump and run! :)

Those numbers represent the month and year

    • The first two digits, e.g. 17 - are for the year.
    • The next two digits, e.g. 09 - are for the month.

No problem :) It will remain a closely guarded secret release date until at least 90% of the world already knows, then will be announced with great fanfare!
