I went to my Event Viewer just after the update installation and besides the entry about the update, there is another entry saying that a new service was installed at the same hour/minute of the update. Does anyone know what is it?
A service was installed in the system.

    Service Name: IOMap
    Service File Name: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\IOMap64.sys
    Service Type: kernel mode driver
    Service Start Type: demand start
    Service Account:

This is not from Microsoft, apparently. Been around for years...

You don't have to, Josey, but IMO you should to at least get the security aspects of it.
I did just for the heck of it. Thanks HG

I read that yesterday too but why it was installed together with the update? Sounds weird, that's all...

I think I may have spoke too soon. I'm not getting email notifications. Email is acting weird in general. Maybe I will uninstall this update after all. Going to see if I can make it work first.

Just installed the update. Still seeing the "settings" issue that I saw with last update that I uninstalled. I think I'm just going to tolerate it as it does seem the settings are being honored. IE seem to be working fine.

Here is what I mean by the issue:

    Attachment 143524

You can see on the left it states off or on but on the right everything is on. If I move something, then they adopt the correct pattern but once I come back it is like the pic again. Annoying.

Tried resetting email app etc no help. I uninstalled the update. Settings and email notifications are working okay now. I think M might be having an issue with their emails (live.com, msn.com) in general. I've blocked the update and am going to remain on 15063.413 for as long as I can. So annoying to have to deal with the mystery surprise update of the month and what's going to happen never mind the feature updates. So much wasted time. I just want the thing to work in a basic way consistently without drama.
