    Thanks Kari.

If we do get a new build within the next 2 days or so, I'd guess 16241/2. Time will tell.

I'm with you on this. I have created a list of "to do things" after each update and this is one of them.

I have been asking for a "Select All" option on Disk Cleanup since day 1. No luck so far. Now I see they have a new clean up under storage, so I'm guessing Disk Clean may soon fall by the way side.

Insider builds can be frustrating as all get out at times. I often think I'll just boot to the RTM drive and quit screwing around with the newer beta builds. This usually lasts about 15 minutes and I'm right back in the deep end of the pool again.

Hi, my name is 24c and I'm an Insideraholic....................................
I just image it with Macrium Reflect and use the CU as in it's present state for me, I cannot use it.

Not everybody can use every build. I have gone back to an older build on occasion myself. Acronis True Image is my friend.

I have been off of the insider program for several months but I decided to jump in again. I went to my settings> insider program> start insider program and I rejoined the program for the first time since early this year. I chose the fast ring and restarted my computer. After the computer restarted I checked for updates and got this new insider build right away.

All in it took almost an hour to install this new build. No problems at all, everything is working fine.

I wonder if there is some advantage to skipping a few builds????

We are not going to get 10.0.16238.1000 (rs_shell_vim_dev.170704-1715)

The stuff in parens means this build is not meant for us. Most likely an engineering build that leaked.

Macrium Reflect is mine . When this goes final in September everyone better be able to. I doubt that they will make that deadline.

    - could you explain exactly how one takes ownership of the file
    - would it work for wma, avi, mp3, mp4 etc files, or have you only tested with FLAC??

    - sounds like an ideal solution

I think there's a bit of a cycle to the Insider Builds in this release and the last one.
    1. Things seem fairly quiet for a little while
    2. Lots of features appear in a few builds in close succession.
    3. Fewer features & more bug fixing in each build, leading up to the release. Rate of slow builds increases as they get generally more stable.

If you get lots of builds around stage 2, you'll have lots of bugs. As we get nearer stage 3, the builds are more stable and more usable.

I'd estimate we're currently coming to the end of stage 2 and there will be fewer features and more fixes leading up to the release.

So, to answer your question, Yes, skipping a couple of builds might mean a more stable computer when you get the next one. But your mileage may vary...
