Trying to install a HP 1102w printer to a 16237 Pro x64 OS - get the below pop up, which I have never seen anywhere before.
I can install the printer to my 15063 install, and can install HP 200 Color printer to the 16237 install.
    Any suggestions appreciated

Would it let you run the setup.exe file as admin?

I really like this 2007 HP lappy and will vow to keep it going as long as the hardware stays alive. The performance is a little bit lacking and really surprised how well Windows 10 runs on it.

Should be back online about 2019
Just landed on the desktop. Same problem, had to manually reboot then this time it re-installed then restart tab and updated normally.

Six hours this time on a single core CPU ...

    No, tried that

ETA - I was finally able to install the 1102W printer by using a updated file that was not included in the original CD.

    For now - all good.
Upon reboot, had to install .NET Framework 3.5

FWIW - All files for the printer that would not run were from 2012 or before. The one file I was finally able to run was from 2014, may be an old age thing -

It is possible it will show up after you reboot or even if you wait for awhile and then refresh the desktop. The same happened to me.

Can't get rid of the highlighted Start Menu items!
No functionality to them at all; they don't load, no right click options, can't uninstall them and they won't go away!
