Noooo.....perhaps I mistyped. Lemme check my post.
OK, now I got you. I have no issues with W10 <> Linux networking (CentOS Linux).

BTW, please do not take this wrong way, I am simply honestly stating what I think: Your use of colours to highlight text is extremely annoying. Although I have absolutely no other reason for it, I have to add you to my ignore list if it continues to avoid seeing it.

I know it's not my business, the choice is of course yours alone, as is my choice not to see it.

    Hi,

    Wouldn't that be Outlook.Live.com ?
That's what use for mail anyway and it often annoys the hell out of due to it hanging while runnning long scripts, probably the add banners.

    Cheers,
Yes it would for the mail in Firefox or online but on my desktop it is xxx@outlook.com

    @Kari

    Yeah I agree with ya....LOL

I didn't mean to add color to that 2nd post of mine at all.

Fear not, I won't post like that anymore.

My Linux machine (any of the 5) will not recognize the Win10IP machine AT ALL. Im not the only one who's having this issue. I just looked.
UPDATE:MSDN has what I need. Thank you. It seems there is an issue for some users.
It seems you found the answer?
Was it anything to do with the disabling of SMBv1 ( as a server) in the previous Insider Build? Perhaps it was using SMBv1 unexpectedly and this change has disabled that?
    Build 16226 blog post said:
Windows 10 and SMB1: As part of a multi-year security plan, we are removing the SMB1 networking protocol from Windows by default. This build has this change, however the change only affects clean installations of Windows, not upgrades. We are making this change to reduce the attack surface of the OS. Here are some more details to take note of:

All Home and Professional editions now have the SMB1 server component uninstalled by default. The SMB1 client remains installed. This means you can connect to devices from Windows 10 using SMB1, but nothing can connect to Windows 10 using SMB1. We still recommend you uninstall SMB1 if you are not using it. In a later feature update of Windows 10, we may uninstall SMB1 client if we detect that you are not using it.
All Enterprise and Education editions have SMB1 totally uninstalled by default.
The removal of SMB1 means the removal of the legacy Computer Browser service. The Computer Browser depends exclusively on SMB1 and cannot function without it.

For more information on why SMB1 is being removed, see: Stop using SMB1 | Storage at Microsoft

For more information on software and devices that require SMB1, see SMB1 Product Clearinghouse | Storage at Microsoft

In the IP program I've noticed that bugs are not at all uncommon through a series of builds--it all depends on what you want to do with the builds and how you are testing them. The one thing you should do is not forget this is a beta program and fail to leave feedback on the IP feedback site. Although I have seen certain kinds of problems endure through more than one build (for as many as four consecutive builds), I have found that if you leave feedback it will be seen and addressed, eventually... Also, bear in mind that the "fixed issues for PC" is not to be taken as exhaustive. Often bugs are fixed--I'd guess the majority of them them that get fixed, actually--never make the list. I guess it depends on the number of people providing feedback on a particular bug that determines whether the bug makes that list even if it gets fixed. I think to date only one bug out of the many that I have reported ever made the "fixed issues" list, although all those bugs have been fixed--always a nice surprise to find they've fixed something that's really been "bugging" you *cough*

Well the bug that bother's me the most, is that if you use slide show for your backgrounds, it effects the opened windows. I get bored with something very quickly, so I have a huge folder full of high res abstract images, and set my background to change every minute. But if I'm in a large folder such as my photography folder, and searching for a particular pic from within thousands of them, and the background changes, all open folders reset back to the top, effectively losing my place. I really hate that.

I think I understand what you're saying, but I don't think I have that problem. Got some things to do, but this is one I need to check, since I have my themes to change quickly too.

I'll report back when I have the time to check.

I also have an off topic question for the board. Does anyone know of a way to backup all of your apps and programs in windows, like an image of the system, without the system folders, where you can flash them into a new build and they all work? For instance, in Macrium or Acronis, you can make an image of your system, and flash it onto a new partition, and everything works right out of the gate. But I would like to be able to do this with all of the apps and programs, and NOT the system folders. Is this even possible at this time?
